- Ricotta (Gold Medal in Melbourne Specialist Cheese Award 2006)
Italian cooking would not be the same without ricotta, which is not really
a cheese but a milk product, since it is made from whey from which the
curds have been removed. The whey is from Cow's or Buffalo's milk. Its
name, literally "re-cooked," is due to the fact that the whey
is heated a second time. Ricotta is used in an infinite variety of savory
and sweet preparations in every one of the country's different culinary
traditions. Its versatility has made it indispensable in the Italian kitchen.
The Ricotta is our Low Fat Cheese, white color, with a great taste of
fresh milk. Eating our Ricotta will seem like drinking a glass of FNQ’s
fresh milk. Adorable on its own and mainly used for fillings or breakfast’s
toasts.
- Baked
Ricotta:
Our Baked Ricotta is prepared, for your convenience, in three ways: plain,
chilli or pepper.
Its firm looking but creamy and spicy taste will steal your mouth from
any other tasty cheese and you’ll be surprised for the fact that a cheese
to be consumed as a vintage cheese can be so creamy. Mainly used for cheese
platters.
- Pecorino
Fresco (Plain, Chilli or Rocket)
Our Pecorino Fresco is a soft moist curd cheese with a really delicate
flavor and a white color.
It’s ideally used for antipasto plates, salads, or even on its own with
a bit of fruits
